Individual therapy begins with a psychosocial assessment in which I attain some background information and a better understanding of what you are feeling and what you feel needs to be different. We then develop a plan of how best to proceed and what goals you would like to meet. After developing the goals individuals also learn coping strategies to decrease the symptoms that they are experiencing.

 Often families experience turmoil. It may feel as if a child or adolescent is out of control. This effects the entire family causing disruptions within the family systems. In engaging in family counseling all members of the family are heard and coping strategies are explored that will decrease the unwanted symptoms and behaviors.

Couples therapy is a process in which couples learn to effectively listen to the meaning behind what their partner is saying as well as effectively communicate their individual needs within the relationship.

Group Therapy can be conducted to assist several people who are experiencing similar symptoms to dispel the belief that they are alone and to assist all in developing health coping strategies.

05.

Divorce Mediation can only be accomplished when individuals are willing to listen and compromise. It means that both parties will get some of what they want but will not get everything that they want. My role in this is to make sure that both parties are heard and assist both parties in coming to an agreement that they can both live with.
